DJI Matrice 400: the next-generation enterprise platform
Matrice 400 is DJI's flagship drone for professional use: extended endurance, increased payload capacity and an obstacle sensing system able to detect power lines. The Worry-Free Plus Combo adds everything you need to start operating to the aircraft, remote controller and charging included, plus a service coverage that guarantees up to 1 year of free repairs within the coverage limit.
Endurance and durability
- Up to 59 minutes of forward flight and up to 53 minutes of hovering (DJI test with only the Zenmuse H30T onboard, total weight 10,670 g).
- IP55 ingress protection rating: do not fly in rain exceeding 100 mm/24 hours.
- TB100 intelligent battery rechargeable in about 45 minutes (220 V power supply, fast mode).
Payloads and multi-payload support
Depending on the mission, Matrice 400 can carry the Zenmuse H30 and H30T, L2, P1, the Zenmuse S1 spotlight, the Zenmuse V1 speaker, the Manifold 3 computing module, or third-party payloads via X-Port, E-Port V2 and SKYPORT V3. It is compatible with the D-RTK 3 multifunctional station and the D-RTK 2 mobile station. Payloads are not included in the combo.
Power-line-level obstacle sensing
The combination of LiDAR, mmWave radar and low-light fisheye vision sensors makes it possible to detect power lines over mountainous terrain and even in low-light conditions. Detection is supported at up to 25 m/s when facing a transmission line and up to 17 m/s when distribution lines are also present; performance varies with clouds, fog, rain or snow.
Intelligence and automation
- Smart detection and AR projection to quickly locate the subject.
- Real-time terrain following (requires DJI FlightHub 2).
- Ship takeoff and landing, recommended with vessel speed below 10 knots and wind below 5 m/s.
- Automated power line inspection flights with Zenmuse L2 and planning of geometric and sloped routes with FlightHub 2.
Updated ecosystem
The Matrice 400 works with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise Enhanced, O4 Enterprise transmission, Cellular Dongle 2, TB100 and TB100C batteries with cable and the BS100 charging station. Important: Matrice 400 and Matrice 350 accessories are not compatible with each other.

Frequently asked questions
Does the combo include a camera or a payload?
No. The Worry-Free Plus Combo includes the aircraft, the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise Enhanced remote controller, one TB100 battery and the BS100 charging station. Payloads such as Zenmuse H30, H30T, L2, P1, S1 or Manifold 3 are purchased separately.
Can I fly in the rain?
Matrice 400 has an IP55 protection rating and DJI advises not to fly in rain exceeding 100 mm per 24 hours. The IP rating is not permanent and may decrease as the product wears.
Can I use Matrice 350 accessories on the Matrice 400?
No. DJI specifies that Matrice 400 and Matrice 350 accessories are not compatible with each other.
How long does it take to charge the TB100 battery?
With a 220 V power supply it takes about 45 minutes in fast charging mode and about 110 minutes in silent mode. With a 110 V supply, about 70 minutes in fast mode. Values measured at 25 °C.
How do I update the firmware?
You can connect the aircraft to a computer and use DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise series), update directly from DJI Pilot 2, or download the offline firmware package from the DJI website and install it from an SD card via the remote controller.
