Description

4G connectivity for your DJI drone

DJI Cellular Dongle 2 allows DJI equipment to access 4G networks, enabling connectivity services, enhanced transmission and additional features. It is a compact module that is powered by the device it is installed on and houses a nano-SIM card from your mobile operator (not included).

Enhanced transmission: an extra channel for safety

The enhanced transmission feature works in synergy with the drone's original video transmission. If the radio signal is compromised by obstacles or interference, the 4G connectivity allows you to keep controlling the drone, significantly reducing the chance of disconnection. Purchasing Cellular Dongle 2 includes one year of free subscription to the optimized transmission service; once it expires, you can renew by following the instructions in the app.

ASDIV and integrated installation

This second generation introduces ASDIV (antenna switching diversity) technology for superior link performance in complex flight scenarios. The module is also the first that can be integrated directly into the drone's body: on DJI Air 3 and DJI Air 3S it slots into the dedicated compartment without any additional tools. For DJI Mini 4 Pro, the dedicated mounting kit is required instead, which includes the 4G antennas and is sold separately.

Important notes before use

  • Installing Cellular Dongle 2 brings the total weight of DJI Mini 4 Pro above 249 g: always check the local regulations that apply to the weight class.
  • Enhanced transmission relies on the 4G network and may be subject to delays or interruptions: fly with caution and in areas with good coverage.
  • The enhanced transmission service is available in two distinct versions, one for mainland China and one for other countries: you must purchase the one matching your region.
  • DJI reserves the right to suspend the enhanced transmission service in accordance with local laws; other connectivity features remain active.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SIM card included?

No. The dongle uses a nano-SIM card that must be purchased from your own mobile network operator. eSIMs are not supported.

Can I install it on my DJI Mini 4 Pro?

Yes, but you need the dedicated mounting kit that includes the 4G antennas, sold separately. Please note: with the dongle installed, the total weight of the Mini 4 Pro exceeds 249 g, so you must check the applicable regulations before flying.

How does enhanced transmission work?

It works alongside the drone's original video transmission: if the radio signal is blocked by obstacles or interference, the 4G link lets you keep control of the drone, reducing the risk of disconnection. The service is included free of charge for one year, then it can be renewed in the app.

Do I need an additional accessory on the DJI Air 3 and Air 3S?

No. On the DJI Air 3 and Air 3S, the Cellular Dongle 2 plugs directly into the slot in the drone body, with no additional tools.

Is it compatible with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro?

According to DJI's presentation, the adapter is compatible with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro only in China; in other regions it can be used with supported models such as the DJI Air 3S and DJI Air 3, but not with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro and DJI RC Pro 2. We recommend contacting us for an up-to-date check on your model.

Legal guarantee
