Description

360° protection for the DJI Lito series

The DJI Lito Series 360° Propeller Guard is the safety accessory designed for DJI Lito X1 and DJI Lito 1 drones. Unlike partial propeller guards, it encloses the propellers along the entire perimeter: in case of contact with a wall, a branch or a person, the guard frame absorbs the impact and prevents the blades from coming into direct contact with the obstacle.

When you really need it

It is the right accessory when flying in conditions where maneuvering space is limited or people are nearby:

  • Indoor flights: rooms, warehouses, commercial premises, photo sets.
  • Tight spaces: passages, vegetation, environments with many closely spaced obstacles.
  • First flights: for those learning to handle the drone who want to reduce the risk of collision damage.

When flying outdoors in open space, on the other hand, it is generally preferable to remove it: the guard adds weight and aerodynamic drag.

Weight and regulatory implications

The propeller guard weighs 94 g. Fitted on a DJI Lito with an empty weight of around 249 g, it therefore brings the aircraft above the 250 g threshold, with consequences for its class and the operating rules that apply. According to the information on the packaging, in the European Union and the United Kingdom, compliant use of the propeller guards is intended for aircraft originating from the DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo Plus (DJI RC 2). Installation and firmware

It mounts directly on the drone's arms, without any special tools. Before installing the propeller guard on DJI Lito X1 or DJI Lito 1, you must update the aircraft firmware to version v01.00.0100 or later: the update allows the drone to recognize the configuration and adapt its flight parameters.

Construction details

Black structure, single element dimensions 347×162×59 mm; with the complete set installed on the drone, the maximum overall size is 347×412×84 mm. The DJI item code is LITOX1-P4 and the accessory is specific to the Lito series: it is not compatible with the propeller guards or drones of the DJI Mini series.

Is it compatible with the DJI Lito 1 as well as the Lito X1?

Yes, DJI lists the accessory as compatible with DJI Lito X1 and DJI Lito 1. Please note the regulatory aspect, though: in the EU and the United Kingdom, compliant use of the propeller guards is intended for aircraft originating from the DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo Plus (DJI RC 2). If you have doubts about your configuration, contact us.

Do I need to do anything before installing it?

Yes: you need to update the drone's firmware to version v01.00.0100 or later before installing the propeller guard on the DJI Lito X1 or DJI Lito 1.

Does the drone stay under 250 grams with the propeller guard fitted?

No. The guard weighs 94 g and, added to the drone's weight (around 249 g in standard configuration), brings the aircraft above the 250 g threshold, with different operating rules. Always check your drone's class and the flight scenario.

How much does it reduce flight time?

DJI does not publish an official figure for the reduction in flight time with the propeller guards installed. The extra weight and greater aerodynamic drag nevertheless reduce flight time compared with the configuration without the guard.

Can I use it on DJI Mini drones?

No. It is an accessory specific to the Lito series (code LITOX1-P4) and is not interchangeable with the propeller guards or drones of the DJI Mini series.
