Why we love telescopic poles (and you should too)
Fibreglass poles for shots from unusual angles and for aerial photos were our first flagship product and we have never given them up, for several reasons.

Permits, restricted zones, weight, bulk, practicality: aerial photography has technical and "plastic" demands that are often hard to meet.
Unless you decide to rely on a tool that is intuitive, simple and within everyone's reach (and also more affordable) such as a Telescopic Pole. Let's see together how, with this very light and handy tool, it is possible to easily overcome the aerial photography problems that are usually encountered with drones, but also with the predecessors of telescopic poles such as cranes and jibs.
We have talked about travel photography and how much it can gain from aerial photography techniques, perhaps more than any other specific genre. But...
Have you ever tried taking a drone along on your trips?
It needs a separate bag, which cannot be carry-on luggage because of its size and often for safety reasons, and if checked in it risks being "treated" like any other hold luggage, that is, thrown around in not very elegant ways! (we will soon write an article on how to take your drone on a trip).
A light and practical telescopic pole does not cause any of these problems. On the contrary, it allows you to carry your aerial equipment as if it were an ordinary tripod. On some airlines (not the low-cost ones) you can put it in your carry-on luggage, and you can also check it in by placing it in your trolley or suitcase (preferably hard or semi-rigid) together with your other things.
Once you arrive at your destination, the lightweight fibreglass, the compactness of the closed pole and how easy it is to extend and use will do the rest. You can take it with you and capture the most beautiful views from a new perspective, in the city or out in nature, in crowded areas as well as in the desert!
Anyone working in aerial photography who has obtained a drone pilot licence knows (also because it was repeated to exhaustion during the course) that ENAC defines restricted areas where it is not possible to fly a drone unless special permits are requested and obtained.
The point is that these restricted areas are often the places most requested for shoots by people outside the industry who are unaware of the issues: from weddings to crowded beaches, events, concerts, etc.
A telescopic pole allows you to shoot from above more than sufficiently for a situation such as a wedding or a news report covering an event of any kind, without ever incurring the risks and penalties faced by those who operate a drone in a restricted area without any permit.
Speaking of permits, you don't even need to get to drones: even for a crane or a jib you need to request authorisation for the occupation of public land. With a telescopic pole none of this is necessary.
It would be nice to use a single camera for all our services, wouldn't it? Maybe it would even be nice never having to change lenses, don't you think?
However, we know that our DSLR cannot fly on a drone, for obvious reasons of weight, safety (of people but also of the camera itself) and because every drone has a gimbal suited to supporting the weight and payload of its integrated camera or compatible camera model.
A telescopic pole, instead, can! On the pole we simply mount our camera and we can adjust focus and framing from a remote control (such as the Cam Ranger, one of the best) as if we had our face resting on the camera itself a moment before taking the shot.
This makes the pole even more suitable for travel and for situations where speed is everything, such as when shooting a documentary or looking for the perfect shot where there is a gathering of people.

As we have already explained in other articles, aerial photography enthusiasts do not always have the possibility (in legal terms and in terms of certifications) to fly...

Heat can make us forget some small rules, from common sense to the laws in force. There is no point stating the obvious, also out of respect for those who are in the office.
