Description
An extra receiver for your DJI Mic 3 system
The DJI Mic 3 Receiver is the individually sold receiving unit of the DJI Mic 3 wireless microphone system. It is the right choice for those working in multicam setups who need a second reception point, for those who need to handle multiple voices at the same time, or for those who need to replace a damaged receiver. On its own it does not record audio: you need one or more DJI Mic 3 transmitters.
Up to 4 transmitters and 8 receivers
The DJI Mic 3 system supports simultaneous use of up to four transmitters and eight receivers. Paired with certain cameras or computer software, the receiver can output four independent audio tracks, useful for group interviews and multi-camera productions. The 4TX + 8RX configuration and four-channel output require additional accessories, sold separately.
Sound control directly from the receiver
- Adaptive gain control: Automatic mode prevents clipping in environments with strong volume variations, Dynamic mode maintains a uniform sound level in quiet indoor settings.
- Three preset voice tones: Regular, Rich (more prominent low tones) and Bright (greater vocal clarity).
- Two-level noise cancellation: Basic for quiet indoor settings, Strong for noisy environments.
Settings can be adjusted from the receiver or the DJI Mimo app, even on each individual transmitter.
Stable transmission and lossless audio quality
The system automatically switches between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to reduce interference, with a stated transmission range of up to 400 metres in open, obstacle-free environments. With Lossless Audio enabled, transmission is at 48 kHz/24-bit; in this mode the transmitter's battery life drops by about 2 hours and the range is reduced by about 50%.
Timecode for multicam editing
The receiver supports timecode input and output, with a deviation of less than one frame over 24 hours under DJI test conditions. Syncing footage from multiple cameras in post-production becomes instant.
Battery life and connections
The 275 mAh battery provides up to 10 hours of use and fully charges in about 50 minutes; 5 minutes of charging gives up to 2 hours of use. The receiver weighs 25.1 g and connects to the camera with the included locking 3.5 mm TRS audio cable, or to smartphones and computers via the supplied USB-C adapter.
Warning: this product is not compatible with DJI Mic, DJI Mic 2 or DJI Mic Mini.
