Description
A new square sensor and variable aperture
DJI Osmo Action 6 features a 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor with 2.4 μm pixels and up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range. It is the first DJI action cam with a variable f/2.0-f/4.0 aperture: it opens to f/2.0 for low-light shooting and closes down to f/4.0 to handle bright light or to create a starburst effect on night lights.
Video up to 8K and 4K Custom mode
The camera records up to 8K (7680×4320) at 24/25/30 fps in 16:9, 4K 4:3 up to 120 fps, 4K 16:9 up to 60 fps and 1080p slow motion up to 240 fps. With the new 4K Custom mode (3840×3840) you shoot once and crop in post to 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 without rotating the camera: handy if you publish on YouTube and vertical social platforms at the same time.

Rugged, even underwater
The body is IP68 waterproof down to 20 metres without accessories and goes down to 60 metres with the waterproof case (accessory not included). The built-in pressure gauge starts and stops recording when entering and leaving the water and logs dive depth and duration, while the colour temperature sensor delivers accurate underwater colours.
Battery life and storage
The Osmo Action Extreme Plus 1950 mAh battery offers up to 240 minutes of recording (1080p/24 fps, RockSteady on, screens off) and works from -20 °C to 45 °C. Charging reaches 80% in about 22 minutes. The 50 GB of built-in storage lets you shoot even without a microSD card, while the slot accepts cards up to 1 TB.
Controls and display
Two OLED touchscreens (1.46" front and 2.5" rear, up to 1000 cd/m² peak), voice control, gesture control and subject tracking make it easy to use even with gloves or from a distance. The dual-direction quick-release system is compatible with the wide range of Osmo mounts.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Standard Combo and the other combos?
The camera body and technical specifications are identical across all versions: only the included accessories differ. The Standard Combo includes one battery, the quick-release adapter mount, the curved adhesive base, the locking screw, the non-slip mat and the USB-C cable. The Adventure Combo, for example, adds two batteries, the multifunction case and the 1.5 m extension pole.
Can I use it for diving?
Osmo Action 6 is IP68 waterproof down to 20 meters without accessories and reaches 60 meters with the dedicated waterproof case, which is not included in the Standard Combo. The built-in pressure gauge automatically starts and stops recording when you enter and exit the water, and logs the depth and duration of the dive.
Do I need a microSD card?
It is not essential to get started: the camera has 50 GB of built-in storage. For long sessions or high-resolution footage we still recommend a fast microSD card, supported up to 1 TB. The card is not included in the box.
What do I need to record audio with a DJI microphone?
Thanks to the OsmoAudio ecosystem you can connect up to two DJI transmitters (DJI Mic 2, Mic 3 or Mic Mini) directly, without a receiver, for a stereo recording of two people. The transmitters are not included.
What is the Custom 4K mode for?
It uses the square sensor to record a 3840×3840 image: you shoot once and then crop the format you need (16:9, 9:16 or 1:1) in post-production, without having to rotate the camera. It is useful if you publish in both landscape and portrait.
