We have already mentioned in other articles the importance of visual storytelling in a company's image and in its promotion.

Today more than ever, reputation (a term widely used in marketing) comes not only from advertising, indeed hardly at all from traditional advertising anymore, but from the more modern forms of promotion. Of course, we are talking about social networks.
Communication through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and then the others must be immediate and impactful, and it increasingly relies on images. Even Twitter is giving more and more space to the visual side.
The images do not (always) need to be highly professional; often the resolution and sharpness already provided by modern mobile devices is enough, devices that now seem designed more for visual storytelling than for use as phones!
Aerial photography can help a great deal in establishing your image and your web reputation, helping you make your content more viral and therefore gain more potential customers.
Now we will give you some tips on making the best use of visual communication, with the help of aerial photography, explaining why it can give you an extra edge.
If you want the public to become attached to you, you need to show that the identity of your business or company goes well beyond the product or service on sale. You are not just an event you organized, not just a house you built or a boat you rented out.
You are also, for example, the harmonious and playful bond between colleagues. You are the coffee from the vending machine at 11:00 in the morning. You are the pizza on the desk when there is really a lot of work to do and little time to live.
All of this needs to be communicated and shared. How? On social media, of course!
Let your Facebook followers know that your company is also these moments of everyday madness, and they will understand that you are just like them and don't want to pretend to be something else (more successful, cooler... since being too cool is no longer fashionable because it is not credible enough). Of course, the better the quality of the photos you publish, the easier it will be to get followers to peek at your page from time to time.
Do you realize that you just can't take beautiful, impactful and striking photos like other companies that, as it happens, have myriads of loyal followers? Don't despair, it's not your fault, just as the success of others is not all down to them.
Not everyone is a photographer, and not everyone is a writer and copyeditor: for social media communication and visual storytelling you may also need professionals with the right equipment, and someone able to sum up in 160 characters the excitement of a project that comes to a successful end. For example, by relying on a photographer equipped for aerial shooting, even just a telescopic pole, you could have them film your open space's entire working day from above, in order to produce, at the end of the day, a video showing from above the life, the breaks, the effort, the pranks on colleagues, etc.
We did something similar with one of our drones, to show the progress of the harvest in a tomato field. But this is just one of the simplest examples. You can really do a lot, all it takes is a good technician and someone with a bit of imagination who creates an interesting storyboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_RT-Lb-IF8
Memes are those photos, of not necessarily outstanding quality, with big captions in rather ugly fonts, that are very funny and go viral in the blink of an eye.
A good copy editor, or someone on your staff with a bit of ironic imagination, could create memes with your company's watermark, as in the case of the hilarious page 'Baby George despises you', which went around the web in just a few months.
You can make them with the faces of your colleagues (with their consent) and make your staff go viral... but with your brand. Memes, if made regularly, create a sense of anticipation. If that happens to your followers too... YOU'VE WON.
For a greater return, ideally at least 40-50% of your visual communication should be aerial. Aerial videos are dynamic, they immediately convey the idea of brevity to the user, and for this reason too aerial photos and videos have a 17% higher impact on social media than non-aerial photos.
For example, do you need to organize an event? A finissage, a vernissage or an inauguration? Have the whole event filmed with a fixed camera on a telescopic pole, then have it edited in time-lapse mode into a video lasting at most 30-40 seconds. Publish it stating clearly that it lasts no more than 40 seconds (it's like promising viewers that you won't steal too much of their time). Add a catchy line at the end like... 'Only you were missing! We look forward to seeing you at the next occasion!'
Or film from above all the restoration, construction or interior furnishing work on a house you are working on. The final video, again in time-lapse mode, can tell your professionalism in 30 seconds... something that would otherwise take 20 years of words to convey!
