Description
One flight, endless framings
DJI Avata 360 combines FPV flight with spherical shooting: it captures the entire scene in 360° and in post-production you choose the point of view, reframing the same footage into multiple versions. 8K/60fps HDR recording leaves enough resolution for sharp crops, while the 360° virtual stabilizer allows unlimited rotations and tilts, even when the drone flies in a single direction: you can rotate the horizon, flip the image or create the Dolly Zoom effect.
Flagship imaging
The two square 1-inch-equivalent CMOS sensors, with 2.4 μm pixels and an f/1.9 aperture, bring the vertical pixels of each sensor to 4000 and deliver up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range. The result is good performance in high-contrast scenes and in low-light conditions. The dual mode lets you switch from 360° to Single Lens mode for classic Avata-style shooting up to 4K/60fps.
Safety and transmission
- Integrated propeller guards to fly closer to people and obstacles with greater peace of mind
- Omnidirectional obstacle sensing, operational even at night and while tracking the action (in 360° mode; in Single Lens mode, forward sensing is active)
- Downward and backward visual positioning
- DJI O4+ video transmission at 1080p/60fps, up to 20 km under the FCC standard and 10 km CE
Automatic shooting with Spotlight Free
Spotlight Free locks onto the moving subject and assists camera movements: you don't have to worry about framing, just fly. With a standard remote controller, QuickShot and FocusTrack's ActiveTrack 360° are also available; with goggles and a motion controller you unlock Head Tracking and simplified acrobatic maneuvers.
Why the drone-only version
This configuration does not include goggles, motion controllers or remote controllers, which are however required for activation and use. It is the most convenient choice if you already own DJI Goggles and a DJI RC Motion compatible with Avata 360, or an RC 2, RC-N2 or RC-N3 remote controller. The aircraft is identical to the one in the combos: only the accessory bundle changes.

Frequently asked questions
Can I fly right away with the drone-only version?
No. This package does not include goggles, motion controllers or remote controllers, which are however required for activation and use. It is suitable if you already own DJI Goggles with a DJI RC Motion compatible with Avata 360, or an RC 2, RC-N2 or RC-N3 remote controller.
What is the difference between 360° mode and Single Lens mode?
In 360° mode you record HDR video up to 8K/60fps and have access to FocusTrack, the 360° virtual stabilizer and omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Single Lens mode supports video recording only, with a maximum resolution of 4K/60fps and a classic Avata-style look.
Does obstacle sensing always work?
Omnidirectional sensing uses the fisheye cameras for the sides and rear, so it is only available in 360° mode. In Single Lens mode only forward sensing is supported. The system is effective on surfaces with recognizable textures and with lighting of at least 1 lux.
How far does video transmission reach in Italy?
The DJI O4+ system transmits at 1080p/60fps up to 20 km under the FCC standard; in Europe, under CE regulations, the declared maximum range is 10 km.
What file formats does it produce?
360° videos are saved in OSV format, while 2D videos are saved in MP4 with HEVC encoding.
