Description

The DJI Avata 2 is DJI's FPV (first-person view) drone in a cinewhoop format, meaning the propellers are protected by a ring-shaped frame: it is designed to fly close to people and objects, even indoors. This listing covers the drone only: the DJI Goggles 3 headset and the DJI RC Motion 3 controller are not included. It's the right choice if you already have them or want a second drone.

Who it is for

  • anyone who wants to try FPV flying (first-person view, with goggles) in a more accessible way;
  • videomakers looking for immersive footage in tight spaces, among trees, buildings or indoors;
  • anyone who wants a drone with built-in propeller guards, more tolerant of light bumps.

Camera

The Avata 2 has a 12 MP camera with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and records 4K video at 60 fps, even in HDR. The 46 GB of internal storage lets you record even without a card.

Flight

  • takeoff weight of 377 g;
  • up to 23 minutes of flight per battery;
  • maximum flight distance of 13 km;
  • compatible with the DJI Goggles 3 headset and the DJI RC Motion 3 controller.

Headsets, controllers and accessories are among those for DJI Avata.

Frequently asked questions

Are the headset and controller included in the box?

No, this version includes only the DJI Avata 2. To fly you need the DJI Goggles 3 headset and the DJI RC Motion 3 controller, or choose one of the combos.

What is the difference from the Combo versions?

The combos already include the DJI Goggles 3 headset and the DJI RC Motion 3 controller, with one or three batteries.

Do I need a certificate to fly the DJI Avata 2?

The DJI Avata 2 weighs 377 g, so it exceeds 250 g: in the Open category you need at least the A1/A3 certificate, which you can obtain with the AerialClick courses. When flying with the headset you also need an observer next to you who keeps the drone in sight. Remember that in Italy you must register as an operator on the d-flight portal (mandatory for drones with a camera) and have third-party liability insurance.

Do you repair the DJI Avata 2?

Yes, in our workshop in Brindisi we handle service and repairs of DJI drones, including the DJI Avata 2 and its accessories.
