Description
The DJI Mini 4K is DJI's entry-level drone: lightweight, foldable and easy to use, it is designed for beginners and videomakers who want 4K footage without a bulky drone. This is the standalone version, without the Fly More Combo accessories.
Who it is for
- anyone buying their first drone who wants something simple and lightweight;
- anyone shooting travel and family videos who wants 4K without the bulk;
- anyone looking for a drone to always keep in their bag.
Camera
The 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal records video in Ultra HD 4K: the gimbal keeps footage smooth even when the drone is moving.
Flight
Video transmission reaches up to 10 km and the stated flight time is 31 minutes per battery. The drone stays stable in winds up to 38 km/h (manufacturer data).
Weight and regulations
Weighing under 250 g, the DJI Mini 4K flies in the Open A1 category with no mandatory certificate. Registration as an operator on the d-flight portal and third-party liability insurance remain mandatory: flying a lightweight drone does not mean flying without rules.
You can find batteries and accessories in the DJI Mini and accessories category.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a licence to fly the DJI Mini 4K?
Weighing less than 249 g, below the 250 g threshold, the DJI Mini 4K flies in the Open A1 category with no mandatory certificate. However, you need registration as an operator on the d-flight portal, mandatory for drones with a camera, and third-party liability insurance, mandatory in Italy.
What is the difference from the DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo?
The drone is the same. The Fly More Combo adds three batteries in total, the two-way charging hub and the shoulder bag: it's worth it if you want to make several flights in a row.
How long does a battery last?
The manufacturer states 31 minutes of flight per battery; wind, temperature and flying style can reduce it.
Do you repair the DJI Mini 4K?
Yes, you can open a request on the AerialClick support portal: we assess the fault and carry out the repair in our lab in Brindisi.
